Dinner with a
Scholar
On Saturday, January 7,2006, at 7:00pm, nine festive dinners will take place, eight in the homes of supporters of the Bureau of Jewish Education of Orange County, and one in the delightful Chemers Art Gallery. Each simultaneous dinner hosted a different scholar for the evening. “Dinner with A Scholar” is the only major fundraising event for the Bureau. What is Dinner with a Scholar? Dinner with a Scholar, the signature fundraising event of the Bureau, was modeled after the highly successful "Matters of Taste" in Boston. On this special Saturday evening, nine fabulous dinners will take place simultaneously in nine locations. After dinner you will learn from and interact with a dynamic scholar. This is a delicious recipe for Jewish learning! These linked pages will provide you with the discussion topics and short biographies of each of this year's scholars. Reservations are made on a first come, first served basis. Whichever dinner you attend, we know you will enjoy a wonderful evening of elegant dining and nourishing thoughts while supporting Jewish education in Orange County. Bon appetit and thank you for supporting the Bureau of Jewish Education!
