Adat Noar
Information
In Hebrew, "Adat" means community, and
"Noar" means young person. Therefore, Adat Noar is a community of
youth. Adat Noar is a Jewish learning experience for 9th graders
conducted throughout the academic year. It is a cooperative program
among congregations of Orange County and Long Beach and the Bureau of
Jewish Education of Orange County. Adat Noar is funded by
participating synagogues, the Jewish Federation of Orange County, the Long
Beach Jewish Federation, families, and the Bureau of Jewish Education of
Orange County.
Adat Noar applications are mailed to
you immediately after the 8th Grade Jewish Values Weekend.
Adat Noar is centered around 5
mini-courses. Each mini-course is comprised of 2 Sunday sessions and
a weekend retreat (10 Sunday sessions and 5 weekend retreats total). Adat

School in Irvine. Adat Noar weekends are held at the Brandeis-Bardin
